Mission and Vision

Our Vision is to tear down the walls and move beyond the “church” as the building.  We are building community: Gathering People Together to Love God, Themselves, and Their Neighbors.
Our Mission is to minister spiritual and emotional wholeness to individuals as well as the community at large through Pure Worship, Pure Word, Pure Love and Pure Fellowship.

Pure Worship
But the hour is coming, and is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4: 23-24).

At Mending Hearts we believe in worshiping God in spirit with a pure open and repentant heart and in the truth that is contained in the word.  We offer ourselves before God, according to Romans 12:1 a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.  This is our true and proper worship.

Pure Word
“Man shall not live on bread alone but every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4).

We refuse to compromise the pure word of God.  God’s word creates, convicts, converts and conforms us.  It is our sustainer and salvation.  Our desire is to present the gospel accurately, clearly, practically and applicably.

Pure Love
“A new command I give to you:  Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13: 34-35).

We are developing a Christian community where people love one another as Christ loves the church.  At Mending Hearts we bear one another’s burdens, build each other up, and share in each other’s joys.

Pure Fellowship
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42).

Vital to our church growth is sharing in the lives of other believers and cultivating healthy relationships.  We believe Christians should have fun! The cheerful heart has a continual feast (Prov. 15:15). Whether it’s the ocean, the mountains, a picnic in the park, bowling, skating, a movie or game night we share in common, joy and laughter with our fellow Christian friends.
